Something about the way our African mothers perform their tasks that suggests they're confident in their craft.
I can't recall ever genuflecting before asking to take a photo, but in this case, it came to me like second nature. Because it is second nature, a mark of respect for the elders of my mother's tribe.
They were from the Nike Art Gallery. They painstakingly made tye-dye by hand.
