A WAY TO WAIT.

Because if you're going to wait for your Uber, you might as well be in style...

SLOGAN TEES

Time was when I was not a fan of the slogan tee shirt.

My grouse was "who cares what you're thinking?".

As teenage angst gave way to layers of maturity, I started to closely look at the slogans, sieving the wheat from the chaff and accepting the great (albeit sometimes obvious) advice some of them dish out.

Smile. And move on.

PASSIVE STANCE.

Still irked.

I'm stuck in the redundant sentiment of wanting to just stare him dead-on and ask why he takes a passive stance against socio-economic injustices at home, yet finds it easy to wreck his citizenry's reputation in foreign lands.

"THE YOUTHS ARE LAZY".

My President.

It's April 19, 2018 and I have just heard that my Commander-in-Chief labeled the Nigerian youths lazy and uneducated, and his audience was the Commonwealth of Nations too!

Who's going to tell him the youths' entrepreneurial spirit is what's responsible for keeping the micro economy alive in most of urban Nigeria?

We've got some of the most zeal-killing economic policies, yet we push, we try, and then push some more.

Even if I have lost faith in our current leadership, I refuse to lose faith in my country.

About the blurry photos...they're a visual representation of my current state of mind...plus I do favor her style.

'DERIN ODUGBESAN-THOMAS.

What a beautiful blessing it is to know your worth...
To be so assured of self, that your default mold is simply to uplift others..
To be able to expel the negativity that the world of social media "savagery" sometimes urges you to take on...

May God grant you serenity in beautiful and free spaces.

Here's my 'Derin.

Exhibiting style and poise...all the damn time!

FRIDAY FEELING...FT. THONIA BANKZ

It's been a long week for me, even if it was just a four day week.

My boss man was away, so I had to step in and be all that God has called me to be in this big bad world of oil and gas contract negotiation.

I'm exhausted.

But I'm feeling some type of celebratory way, for a job well done.

I've got that Friday feeling I can't quite put my finger on...I wanna party like hood (as if I could), but I'd like to be out for a bourgeois dinner party too.

Inspo for both from these two looks I captured during Lagos Fashion Week...it's the blogger lady @thoniabankz

Enjoy your weekend dah-lings!

GIDIFEST 2018 - FESTIVAL STYLE.

GIDIFEST was last weekend at the Hard Rock Café beach front, Lagos...and the street style was alright.

Did you miss it?

Come next year.

Cheers.
